Whereas Elizabeth Middleton, the parish of Stottesdon, single woman, in her examination hath declared, that on or about the 24th day of June last she was delivered of a female bastard child, and the said bastard child is become chargeable to the said parish of Stottesdon, and has charged Thomas Garbet with having gotten her with child of the said bastard child; and whereas the said Thomas Garbet has refused to give security to indemnify the said parish, and hath also refused to enter into a recognizance with sufficient surety to appear at the next sessions, to abide and perform such order or orders as shall be made pursuant to an act passed in the 18th year of the reign of her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth: committed the third day of May, 1815, by the Rev TM Lyster, Clark | Orders made, prisoner discharged |
